Booking Through Thursday - 24/2/2011

All other things being equal–do you prefer used books? Or new books? (The physical speciman, that is, not the title.) Does your preference differentiate between a standard kind of used book, and a pristine, leather-bound copy?

My answer:
Remember the saying don't judge a book by its cover? LOL!
Anyway, I LOVE NEW books! Especially hardcover ones. It lines up nicely on the bookshelves. :) Paperbacks are great when you are the kind who brings your book everywhere in your handbag or pouch. I settle with paperbacks most of the time for the convenience(hardcovers are kind of heavy) and price!

Old books are like antique. Nice to see. Scared to handle; incase of breakage. :( But to have it is awesome! I have my dad's Oxford Dictionary (First Ed by Longman). ^__^

Can we touch on fonts, smell and feel of the papers? :) Mini fonts kill sometimes. Some papers smells funny but many smells nice!

Tuesday Teaser - 22/2/2011

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Booking Through Thrusday - 17/2/2011

What’s the most romantic book you’ve ever read?
(Mind you, I don’t mean the hard-core stuff you hide in plain wrappers under your mattress. I mean True Love, Romance, deeply emotional, heart-tugging, and all that stuff.)

And, secondly, did you like it? Is it your usual kind of reading, or did it take you by surprise?

My answer:
Tough one; The Wedding and A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. OK! I'll pick The Wedding...maybe coz it didn't make me cry. LOL! It has a very happy and sweet ending.

If you feel like poking your boyfriend's heart (just because he said he is tough!), try to make him read A Walk To Remember. Reading it is a million times better than watching its movie. ;)

Guess Nicholas Sparks never fail me. ^__^ I love both books. Can't say it is my usual kind of reading because I tend to switch between few genres. ;)

p/s: Gosh! I miss book blogging sooooooooo much! I've left it for awhile to prepare for my wedding, to prepare or rather settle as many stuff as possible at work before I go on a very long leave after I got married, got married, went for honeymoonS and many more. 16th February 2011 marked my first day of work in 2011. BTT marks my return to the blogosphere. Who can resist BTT anyway??? :)
