Well, folks, I don’t know about where you are, but right here, it’s HOT.

So … when you think about “hot reading,” what does that make you think of? Beach reading? Steamy romances? Books that take place in hot climates? Or cold ones?

My answer:
To start with, it is not exactly hot here. It rains every evening. *If only I could be in bed with a book instead of in the office swivel chair.* Then again, there isn't any distinctive season where I am. ;)

Hot Reading. I have to say it gets me to steamy romance novels. The ones which could totally sweep me off my feet and sometimes out of the real world. =p Can't say that is all I think of. Other books which triggers anger and frustration is definitely a HOT one for me too. =p There you go, two sides of Hot-ness.

The teaser.
"When I recovered and went home, I was given this vast collection of my letters, all so neatly bound with green tape, more than six hundred of them altogether, dating from 1925 to 1945, each one in its original envelope with the old stamps still on them. I am awfully lucky to have something like this to refer to in my old age." -p82, Boy: Tales of Childhood by Roald Dahl-

Do you have friends and family to share books with? Discuss them with? Does it matter to you?

My answer:
Fortunately, my beloved bestfriend loves chic-lit! =) In my family, no one loves what I love. I read what they read but they do not read what I read. My dad is into financial/business books and a little bit of self-help books. My mom is into cooking books. One of my brother has recently fell in love with Nicholas Spark's. So far, I only share that with him. The other brother is into short ghost stories. I can read but I'm quite done with it.

Guess I've got quite a fair number of people around me who reads. I can consider myself lucky. No one buys and reads constantly though! Honestly, I talk about the books that I have read more on the WWW rather than with the people around me. Maybe because I don't meet my bookworm friends as often. The book bloggers a.k.a. bookaholics online are GREAT!!!!

Name a book or author that you truly wanted to love but left you disappointed. (And, of course, explain why.)

My answer:
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Believe it.
This book has been awarded best sellers in many countries but seriously, I don't get why. This book falls into my 1/5 rating. I have to say that the contents are repetitive and simply doesn't make sense to me. It mainly focuses on the power of attraction. How can we make our dreams come true by only believing it will come true? The author probably wants to promote positive thinking but sitting and dreaming our dreams will come true won't help to make it happen. 'Nuff said!

Then again, it probably isn't my cup of tea. :p
